FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about Modularity. If your question is not here, write to us.

What is Modularity?

A system to run your business in one place: orders, service orders, appointments, a work queue, inventory, suppliers, customers, cash, bills and reports. It is made by 16 Ball Creations, a brand and web studio in Medellín, Colombia.

Which businesses is it for?

It has templates for cafés and restaurants, repair shops, salons and barbershops, clinics and practices, shops, carpentry and production workshops, and mining operations. Each template brings that industry’s modules and names, and you can change them.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Modularity opens in the browser on a computer, tablet or phone. It is not an app-store app: it is a web app that adapts to each screen.

Does it work if the internet goes down?

Yes. If the connection drops you can keep working: changes are saved on the device and sync when the internet is back. If two changes clash, the system asks you which one to keep.

Does my team need an email to sign in?

No. Admins sign in with email and password; the rest of the team picks their name and enters a PIN. Everyone sees only the modules and buttons their role allows.

Can I change the names and colors?

Yes. You can rename every term (table, vehicle, patient, chair…), use your brand colors and turn on only the modules you need.

Does it do Colombian e-invoicing (DIAN)?

Today Modularity handles your internal bills, payments and the daily cash close. DIAN electronic invoicing is not included yet: it is part of the development in progress.

How much does it cost?

Write to us and we will talk it through for your business.

Can I use it already?

Yes. Modularity is a stable Beta and in active development. Write to us and we will tell you how to get started.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The demo is a working repair shop with sample data, and you can sign in as the owner, a service advisor or a mechanic. Everything lives in your browser and resets when you close it, so nothing breaks.

How long has Modularity been around?

The idea was born in 2015 and had a first version, built with Angular and PHP, that was lost; only the document with its structure remained. What exists today is a new vision of that idea, rebuilt from scratch, now a stable Beta in active development.

What comes next?

We are preparing Modularity · Prospects, a sales module to organize campaigns, prospects and follow-ups.
